Weld Fittings
Product Specifications & Features
Size Range: 1/8” to 2” in fractional series and 6 mm to 38 mm in metric series.
Material: 316 Stainless Steel is the standard material. Other materials are available upon request.
Manufacturing Process: Straight fittings are machined from high-quality bar stock, while forged fittings are produced from precision forgings for enhanced strength and durability.
Precision Machining: All ports are quality machined to ensure consistent welding and reliable performance.
Optimized Flow Design: Elbows are designed with radius junctions to provide a smooth flow path and minimize pressure drop.
Marking & Traceability: All fittings are permanently marked with size, material grade, and heat code for complete traceability.
Thread Protection: All threads are capped for protection and properly packaged to prevent damage during transit.
Thread Standards: All NPT pipe threads conform to the requirements of ASME/ANSI B1.20.1.
Working Pressure: Designed to meet ANSI/ASME B31.3 requirements at ambient temperature.
These features ensure high reliability, durability, and compliance with international piping standards for industrial applications.

Installation Instructions
To ensure a leak-proof and tight seal, it is recommended to use a suitable pipe thread sealant on all NPT threads. The most effective sealing method is the application of PTFE (Teflon) tape on male NPT tapered threads.
Before installation, thoroughly clean both male and female tapered threads to remove dirt, oil, or debris. Wrap the tape evenly in the direction of the male thread taper (clockwise when facing the threaded end), ensuring proper coverage without overlapping excessively. Trim off any excess tape to prevent contamination of the system.
Working Pressure
Catalogue pressure ratings are applicable for temperatures ranging from –20°F to 100°F (–28°C to 37°C). These ratings are based on an allowable stress value of 20,000 psi (1378 bar) in accordance with ASME B31.3 for 316 stainless steel.
To determine working pressures in accordance with ANSI/ASME B31.1, multiply the catalogue working pressure values by a factor of 0.94.
For elevated temperature applications, use the allowable working pressure at ambient temperature and multiply it by the appropriate elevated temperature factor to calculate the safe working pressure at higher operating temperatures.
WORKING TEMPERATURE
| Material | Minimum Working Temperature | Maximum Working Temperature |
| SS 316 | -325°F (-198°C) | 1000°F (538°C) |
| SS 316L | -325°F (-198°C) | 850°F (454°C) |
Welding Guidelines & Code Compliance
For proper weld setup, technique, and additional requirements in welded systems, always consult the applicable industry standards such as ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, ASME B31.1 (Power Piping), ASME B31.3 (Process Piping), or other relevant codes and regulations.
Material selection plays a critical role in achieving a sound weld. It is strongly recommended to use compatible or identical materials for fittings, pipes, and tubing. Matching materials ensure similar coefficients of thermal expansion, which helps minimize stresses during heating and cooling cycles. This reduces the risk of weld defects, distortion, out-of-roundness, and dimensional changes that could compromise weld integrity and overall system performance.
