JIC Fittings

Empex Stainless offers a comprehensive range of JIC Fittings designed specifically for high-pressure hydraulic applications. Available in a variety of styles, shapes, and sizes, these fittings provide reliable, leak-proof performance in demanding hydraulic systems.

JIC Fittings are also commonly referred to as 37° Flare Fittings, JIC Flare Fittings, or simply Flare Fittings. They are widely used in hydraulic and fluid transfer systems where secure, high-pressure connections are required.

Construction & Working Principle

JIC Fittings consist of three precision-machined components:

• Body

• Sleeve

• Nut

The tube end is flared to a 74° included angle (37° flare on each side) and positioned between the fitting body nose and the sleeve nut. When tightened, this creates a strong, metal-to-metal seal that ensures a leak-proof and full-flow connection.

The flare design allows for repeated disassembly and reassembly without the need to replace components, making maintenance simple and cost-effective.
